Welcome to the website for the 20th Conference of the International Group for Lean Construction. All of the papers for the 20th Conference are available on the IGLC website. We are very pleased to be hosting the 20th gathering of lean construction researchers, students, and practitioners on the campus of San Diego State University.

There are three phases to the event. The first is the Industry Day. This is a workshop intended to appeal primarily to practitioners in the AEC industry. It will provide an overview of the fundamentals of the lean construction paradigm, and provide a number of examples of actual implementation.

This is followed by the research conference. This is an opportunity to hear the latest in lean construction research from teams around the world, addressing a wide variety of topics related to the championships of the IGLC. The conference provides an opportunity to network with an international collection of colleagues, and to obtain feedback on research work from a wide variety of perspectives.

Finally, the event will close out with a summer school. This is an opportunity for graduate students, commonly at the doctoral level, to present their dissertation concepts to a critical audience. This is an excellent way to sharpen one’s research.

We are glad you have visited this site, and hope you will consider attending some or all of these phases of the event. We wish you success in your lean journey, safety in your travels, and a wonderful time in San Diego!
